1.What is the bauxite

Bauxite is raw material from which alumina and aluminum are produced. It mainly contains gibbsite, boehmite and diaspore minerals.

2.Application

85% bauxite on the earth is converted to alumina and went to aluminum smelters in forward chaining.10% applied to producing nonmetallic-usage alumina and the rest take into nonmetal field.

3．Distribution

Australia holds the largest bauxite resource in the world. Countries also deposit abundant bauxite are Guinea, Jamaica and Indonesia. Bauxite in China is inferior to those mentioned countries above in both quantity and quality

Most of alumina plants import bauxite for their Bayer process in alumina at present. Mainly bauxite consumed in China is imported from Australia, Indonesia and India. Indonesia bauxite features for its higher content of gibbsite, which are the most important reason that Indonesia bauxite is welcomed by Bayer refineries in China.

4. Bauxite

RUNDI is investing a Indonesia Mine Cooperation, exploring bauxite from local islands. Our mine’s reservation is, by current estimation after proving, 2,400,000MTs yearly for five years at least.

We can also source lower or higher grade bauxite for either Alumina Mill’s use or other industry’s use, e.g. ceramic and refractory,etc.
